The geologic time scale is a system of chronological measurement that relates HISTORIOGRAPHY to time, and is used by geologists, paleontologists, and other earth scientists to describe the timing and relationships between events that have occurred throughout Earth's history.
Some major climate changes have gone on too. Many species of plants, birds and other animals have had to adapt to the changing climate of our Earth. Adaptation is how a species changes in order to better survive in it's environment.
Above theres a picture of a animal that have adapted to their environment. All animals have Genotypes and Phenotypes. Genotypes are traits in their genes. Phenotypes are physical traits that they have. Genotypes can determine how they adapt on the inside and how they reflect it on the outside. Phenotypes are traits on the outside like the color of the fur or feathers. Genotypes and Phenotypes can both change with adaptation. The animal, plant, bug or bird can adapt through their Genotypes and Phenotypes.
