ecology:
1.the branch of biology dealing with the relations and interactions between organisms and theirenvironment, including other organisms.
This shows you the population of the predator and they prey. The prey population is almost always above the predators. Because if there were more predators than the prey neither would do very well.
COMPETITION FOR RESOURCES:
I use to spell Nutches,
Who live in small caves, known as Niches, for hutches.
These Nutches have troubles, the biggest of which is
The fact there are many more Nutches than Niches.
Each Nutch in a Nich knows that some other Nutch
Would like to move into his Nich very much.
So each Nutch in a Nich has to watch that small Nich
Or Nutches who haven't got Niches will snitch.
symbiotic realationship:
energy pyramids:as you go up the trophic levels, organisms need a larger energy expenditure. For example, a zebra has to graze for appropriate food. A lion will have to chase down a zebra, and the overall difference between energy spent (from the chase) and energy gained (from eating the poor zebra) is very small.
